Celebrating the journey from beginner’s spark to master maker
Teaching at Creative Therapy Space has always been about genuine connection and building confidence through making. The Makers Collective brings together an amazing group of creatives who have honed their skills in my workshop and are now stepping into the spotlight. I’m thrilled to host their work, share their journeys, and help them get their creations out into the world.

Our Story
It started in Nindy’s conservatory...
There was no formal lighting, no grand gallery pedestals, just a group of us working together, nervously arranging our silver, gemstones, and treasures in her beautiful homely setting. That first exhibition was safe, a little unpolished and entirely wonderful. We were stepping out from behind the safety of the workbench for the very first time, showing the world what happens when you dare to put your heart into raw materials.
Since then, Creative Therapy Space has grown into so much more than just learning how to design, measure, cut and solder. Together, we’ve learned what it actually takes to bring a show to life.
We’ve huddled around phones, figuring out how to catch natural light on polished silver without reflections taking over. We’ve wrestled with online software to design our own social media posts, demystified the daunting art of pricing our work fairly, and learned how to step back and curate a space where everyone’s work shines together. Every show has been a collective masterclass in confidence.
For the past few years, we’ve found our home at St Peter’s Church. It’s small, safe, and deeply welcoming. The energy inside those thick stone walls feels almost protective, like the building itself is holding us and our work with care. Nestled right near an amazing local art gallery whose team continuously cheers us on, the church has become our anchor.
People know who we are now. Visitors step through the arched doorway not just to browse, but to catch up, look for familiar faces, and return time and again to see what’s come off our benches.
The Makers Collective has become known for quality, contemporary, handcrafted jewellery and silversmithing objects, pieces crafted with patience, integrity, and genuine human skill. No factory lines, no polished perfection without soul. Just work that is truly as unique, resilient, and original as the people who made it.
