PRESENT 2024 : A Celebration of Creativity and Community

On November 30th and December 1st, from 11am to 5pm, PRESENT 2024 will take place at the beautiful St Peter's Church in Cambridge, nestled right next to Kettles Yard on Castle Street. This exhibition is not just about jewellery – it’s about the journey of creativity, the courage to share your work, and the sense of community that grows when makers come together.

The pieces on display are the result of months of dedication, learning, and creative exploration by the students of the Creative Therapy Space jewellery and silversmithing courses. Each maker has worked hard to develop their own style, crafting pieces that reflect who they are and what they love creating.

A Personal Connection

The makers themselves will be there during the exhibition, happy to chat about their work and process. If you’re looking for something truly personal, like a custom commission, they’re ready to collaborate and create something meaningful.

This isn’t just an opportunity to showcase jewellery; it’s a space for growth, learning, and connection. Students get to experience every stage of the creative process – from designing and making to photographing and marketing their work. The twice-yearly summer (SHINE) and winter (PRESENT) exhibitions give them a focus and a reason to push their creative boundaries.

Whether you're here to explore, connect, or seek inspiration, we look forward to welcoming you. Come and experience trying on exquisite jewellery, meeting talented artisans, and finding a special Christmas gift for your loved ones.

Why We Call It PRESENT

The name PRESENT holds many meanings. It’s about being present in the creative moment, offering something tangible and meaningful, and having the courage to present yourself as an artist and maker. It’s a simple word, but it carries the essence of what this exhibition is about. And of course, our wonderful work makes the most delightful present.

We’d love for you to visit us at St Peter’s Church to see the beautiful work on display, meet the makers, and experience the energy of this creative community. Follow along on Facebook and Instagram @creativeteresa and https://w3w.co/lively.upon.flute for updates.
